Antidiscrimination Meets Integration Policies: Exploring New Diversity-Related Challenges in Europe

Contemporary European societies are increasingly diverse. Migration both within and to Europe has contributed over the past decades rise of new religious, racial, ethnic, social, cultural economic inequality. Such transformations have raised questions about (multi-level) governance diversity in Europe, thus determining challenges for scholars policy-makers. Whilst debate around stemming from migration become a major topic urban studies, political science sociology Critical Race Studies Intersectionality central US approaches understanding inequality social injustice. Among fields where ‘managing diversity’ particularly pressing, methodological issues on how best approach minorities that suffer multiple discrimination represent some hottest subjects concern.
